Where is Van Taylor now?

One of the biggest arguments against Van Taylor and his failed congressional attempt against Chet Edwards in Dist. 17, was the fact that Mr. Taylor had moved to the district only 12 months prior to filing to run for the position. He ended up losing to the 16 year veteran Chet Edwards by a sizable margin, but that’s way beside the point. My thought on this is, now that the elections are a month behind us, where is Van Taylor now? Did he move out of the district since it’s no longer convenient to live here since he’s not serving? Did he move back up to Manhattan? Or maybe his house in Highland Park in Dallas. I’m unable to find any such documentation as to his whereabouts… does anyone know?

My thought all along was that he was a sort of a neo-carpetbagger, even though he was born in Texas and has a lot of oil money in Texas. 90% of his campaign financing came from out of state.

Mr. Taylor, where are you?

You know, you are either extremely sloppy/lazy, retarded or just an outright liar! 90% of his money comes from out of state you say? REALLY??? Looks like over 700K came from Texas and the closest to that was New York (where all the non-PAC money in politics comes from) at just over 100K. Even if you accounted for his personal donations being Texas money, he still raised a margin of 4-1 from TEXAS over the next closest state of New York! (TX = 777 contributors, NY = 103)

Here’s a helping hand since you clearly come up with your “facts” from your couch sitting in your chocolate ice cream stained PJ’s, dreaming up fairytale political attacks, in an ATTEMPT to sound smart, in-between your world of war craft “adventures!” http://www.tray.com/cgi-win/x_candpg.exe?DoFn=H6TX17069*2006

Nothing in your diatribe rings true, nor does it merit dissecting, since I already proved my point regarding my aforementioned categorization of you. I would add idiot to that but I feel hesitant to create a tautology!

P.S. He’s RICH, (with all that TEXAS oil money he got from way before even your roots in TX started no doubt) he will probably keep his house in the 17th and just add it to the list of properties he owns, which you previously annotated.

Wow, you got me didn’t ya! He’s got no business in Texas, he’s got no business representing this district I live in. He moved here as a carpetbagger and many saw him for that. Simply having 7 houses in 7 districts doesn’t quite make you the most qualified to represent a district. Yes, he’s rich, but that doesn’t mean he is best suited for the position. Quote all the facts you want, but when you do go in and look, money came in from outside the district, and outside the state. You can funnel money however you want. More of the same, more of the same. Where is he now?

How old are you??? Really one would think you wouldn’t act as if FACTS were a bad thing. Speaking of which, why don’t you do a little research and grab some facts on where CHET’S money came from… get over yourself, this is politics, money comes from all over for ALL politicians! Worse, Chet has an astronomically high special interest to individual donor ratio, but I doubt you understand what that means…

P.S. Taylor moved from Dallas, about 10-15 min from the northern most part of the 17th… I’d hardly call that “carpetbagging”
