“You ain’t seen nothing yet!”

Ok, so you might have heard that horse meat from our 2 packing plants here have been banned from HUMAN consumption now. That’s all . They can still carry about their horrendous acts for anything else they deem necessary.Do you want your pet to be eating this?

Did ya know that not only are our American horses at these plants but emu, bison, wild boar and ostrich? There was nearly 100,000 horses killed alone last year from just the 3 plants in the US. Since two of them are here I think we CAN do something about it. The other factory already said if the 2 remaining ones in Texas close they will not expand due to the threat already attacking the industry. That’s not only good news for us but the precious lives that will be saved yearly.

David Broiles ( Ft.Worth attorney rep for slaughter) is getting a petition ready for a rehearing with the 3 judge panel but keep in mind that there is no timetable for the appeals court to decide upon whether to grant it or not…So, our efforts are being heard and you can’t just give up now. Work with the most passion you could ever desire to get what you crave. Freedom. Freedom, for creatures we hold near and dear to our hearts. The rights we all are fighting for. Feel free to speak your mind everyday. We need to be heard and for once they are listening. Keep those voices LOUD and STRONG! Keep those phone lines busy, mail bags pouring and email’s flooding! This isn’t over until their doors are closed forever!

IS IT;./ THE GOVERNMENT OR IS IT THE PEOPLE??????

IS IT;./ THE GOVERNMENT OR IS IT THE PEOPLE??????

 Â

If we the people make up the government both state and federal then is it really the government’s fault if it is corrupt. If we the people allow laws to be passed that are against the people instead of punishing the true violators should we complain when we get no justice? Do we really have a right to complain? If the city ordinance tells me, I cannot smoke in any restaurant. Whose fault is it that there is no choice between a restaurant that is for smokers and one that is for non-smokers. It appears to me we fight for all the wrong reasons we live in America. If we have freedom of choice then were is it. Alternatively, should we be fighting for it? Should we be fighting for laws or freedom of choice? If I am willing too do without smoking to eat at a non-smoking establishment then that should be my choice not the law and visa versa. Freedom of choice is what we should be fighting for. Why should I be punished because I can have a drink and is still capable of driving? Accidents have not went down so the laws do not work, now if our judicial system would punish those who have no respect for themselves are society the roads would be safer. Punish me when I have committed s crime against the people not when I stopped, bought a beer and am drinking it on the way home.

HELLO!

The death penalty- no innocent person should ever die in these days and times. To many was to prove something so is it our fault we have people who commit violent crimes against the people or is it the locale governments? I look at it this way if a person is not willing to hand their love one over to be torchered raped murdered molested or abducted then you really don’t have a right to vote no for the death penalty. Me I am not willing to sacrifice anyone I love I vote yes! My daddy always told me you should never ask someone else to do something you are not willing to do yourself. God’s law tells me an eye for an eye.

I raised two children one a whooped and one I did not. The one I whooped is one of the best kids the one I did not is spoiled and I am not sure about. My daughter is 26 she tells me to this day that she was thankful she had discipline in her life. I must also say she is 7 years older than her brother and as they were growing-up she would tell me that I was making a big mistake by not whooping her little brother. The child was right!! Should we take away the parents right to whoop their child or should we put a can of whoop-ass on a parent who feels the need to abuse a child. I vote for the can of whoop-ass. This is just food for thought. If I have stirred-up any emotions please let me know. The only way for any one to know how you feel about what needs to change in Texas is by voicing your opinion.

Dose this happen because people do not care, or feel like they cannot make a difference. It does not concern them. Or is it because our government dose not care enough to listen and you cant fight them because you are not going to win anyway kind of like sour grapes. We should have freedom of choice on everything we do that pertains to our lives.

End the Slaughter of America’s Horses

Letter from Wayne Pacelle

President & CEO

The Humane Society Of the United States

On Friday, Jan. 19 after years of litigation, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit finally upheld a 1949 Texas law banning the sale of horsemeat for human consumption. The Humane Society of the United States had filed an amicus brief in the case in March 2006, argueing in favor of the state law banning horse slaughter. Two of the three existing horse slaughter facilities in the United States are located in Texas, and as soom as the ruling goes into effect, Illnois will stand alone as the last state where American horses are slaughtered for foreign dinners.

Last week, U.S. Reps. Janice Schakowsky (D-IL), Ed Whitfield (R-KY), John Spratt (D-SC), and Nick Rahall (D-WV), and U.S. Sens. Mary Landrieu (D-LA) and John Ensign (R-NV) introduced H.R. 503/S. 311, the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act. This legislation would ban horse slaughter in the U.S. amd stop the export of horses for slaughter across our borders. Take action to help protect American horses forever!

In the 109th Congress, the U.S. House voted five times and the U.S. Senate voted once to stop horse slaughter, but time ran out before the legislation crossed the finish line. Now, at the beginning of the 110th Congress and with this major Texas court ruling, we are poised for a big push to protect all American horses from this horriable fate. We are coming at the horse slaughter industry from all directions, and they are operating on borrowed time.

We want to shutter these plants every step of the way. We’ll need your action, so please be on the lookout for our updates. With your continued phone calls and emails, Congress will get the job done and save 100,000 horses per year from this grim and painful end. Let’s start now by encouraging lawmakers to cosponser H.R. 503/S. 311 to build support for a permanent ban. With your help, we can make this a historic year for horse protection.

And don’t forget to tell your friends and family to let their legislators know that it’s time to end the brutal slaughter of Americas horses.

Your actions will not only make a difference, theywill help make history. Help us end horse slaughter in the United States forever.

The Dallas Morning News Sunday January 21, 2007 has some really good coverage by Jim Getz Staff Writer Horse meat ban is upheld, it is really good coverage and tells the who, what, where why and who did what to who, it is worth looking up…

Recomended reading BEAUTIFUL JIM KEY The Lost History of A HORSE and A MAN Who Changed the World by MIM EICHLER RIVAS, ISBN 0-06-056703-1, Copywright 2005. It tells of a dramatic shift that took place in the public mind that made kindness to animals a cornerstone of mordern civilization and helped launch the animal rights movement. This happened over a hundred years ago… isn’t it amazing how we backslide with the help of lobbiest and greedy primadonna recipents…

Texas Death Penalty Under Federal Eye

I found some interesting news today concerning the death penalty in Texas on CNN. Just wanted to pass the word along.

By the way, is it “ya’ll” or “y’all”?

2010 Election

My name is Kenny Brand. I am a Texan. Texan first,

American second. I plan on being the independent

Govenor of Texas in 2010. I plan on being the new

Sam Houston. The border of Texas will be closed.  This

will be a fact. The illegals WILL leave Texas.  The laws

will change in favor of the citizens of Texas. The laws

will not be in favor of the criminals and scum living

in Texas. The people deserve a common man that

believes there is only fair and unfair, and right and wrong.Â

The nonsense must stop or we will loose Texas and

the USA. I know the people are fed up with Republicans

and Democrats. They are all the same power hungry

rich boys and girls. A change must happen. The year will

be 2010.

Thanks,

Kenny
