Rally and lobby against horse slaughter !!!
The Humane Society of the United States is hosting a free lobbying seminar on April 16 from 6-8 p.m. The next day, they will hold a rally and lobby day at the Capitol from 10 a.m.-2.p.m. Be sure to RSVP before 5pm on April 15th with Kelley Dupps at kdupps@hsus.org
Whether or not you can attend these events, please contact your state legislators and urge them to ban slaughter permanently in Texas. Please call your state representative and urge them to oppose H.B. 2476/S.B. 1742 and any efforts to legalize horse slaughter for human consumption.
Making a call is easy. A staff member will take your call and pass your message to your legislators. All you have to say is:
“Hello, my name is [your name] and I am calling from [your city]. I strongly oppose H.B. 2476/S.B. 1742, legislation to legalize horse slaughter in Texas. Horses hold a special place in American history and should not be slaughtered for export to France and other countries for human consumption. It’s time to end this grisly practice and I hope [legislator's name] will oppose any attempts to legalize horse slaughter in our state. Thank you.”

I just found out Bo Derek won’t be at this event and she wasn’t going to be.

Horse slaughter has to stop!! I mean I did some Reasch on it, because I wanted to find out what kind of things they did before I said any thing. What I found out just made me sick. I mean if you are going to kill a animal then just get it over with it don’t make the poor animal suffer.
