Another Bush thumb in our eye!

I just wanted to let you know that the Bush administration is continuing an unsafe NAFTA trucking program despite signing a bill into law that cuts off its funding.  Several months ago, after inciting a near revolution, the Bush administration was forced to step back on it’s plan to allow Mexican trucks full access to our nations highways. Following a great wailing and gnashing of teeth by Citizens, Environmentalists, Labor Unions, Law Enforcement agencies, etc,,, Congress told Bush to not allocate any funds in the 2008 Appropriations Bill to this program that operates on minimal safety standards.  However, the administration is pushing forward and ignoring the will of Congress.
In just a couple of clicks, you can tell your representatives to hold the administration accountable.  Just go here:

TTC again threatens Texas blue skies and wide open spaces!

No one I’ve talked to thinks Governor Perry’s Trans Texas Corridor is a good idea! Nobody wants this road! How have we, the people of Texas allowed our legislators to usurp our will and force this monstrosity down our throats? TTC PR meetings (not to be confused with public hearings that actually have some value) are going on at a whirlwind pace, in hopes of heading off “public outrage” over the coming “eminent domain” land grab. Independent Texans should get involved and stop this “50 year long nightmare” that Perry and his business cronies are burdening the Citizens of Texas with.

In a giving mood?

Why not show your support for the Utopia Rescue Ranch!? A marvelous, laugh out loud, Texas Trio starring Kinky Friedman, Little Jewford and Steven Fromholz are making their way around the state to rake in some dough to help keep everything smooth sailing for those lucky rescues. I went to the show in Dallas and must say you will not be disappointed! Not only are you getting one of the best nights of entertainment in your life but everything goes back to the dogs!! What better way to spend your weekend? Check out the closest show coming your way! You will not regret it!!!
